VIOLENCE IN THE HOME. A 30-year-old man has been sentenced to five years in prison for, among other things, aggravated rape, gross violation of integrity, and unlawful threats. The man forced his girlfriend to perform degrading sexual acts through kicks, punches, and gun threats.
On Thursday, 30-year-old Aziz Yayan was sentenced to six months for assaults against his girlfriend. The abuse began with physical violence in March last year and continued monthly until November, when it all culminated. The assaults included multiple incidents of punching and kicking to the face and body.
In July, Yayan made his first death threats, and in November, he escalated by pointing a weapon at her. On November 7-8, Yayan subjected his girlfriend to severe assault and rape. Under threat of a gun, she was then pressed against Yayan’s genitals and forced to perform oral sex. The weapon was also pushed into her mouth while Yayan threatened to kill her.
When Yayan started shooting at the floor, the girlfriend tried to flee, but Yayan caught her again. She was then forced to lick his anus. He is also said to have spat on her and called her a “whore” while she was being beaten. Under gun threat, the girlfriend was also forced to say that she and her mother are “disgusting whores”.
Aziz Yayan was arrested on November 17 and sentenced last Thursday by Eskilstuna District Court. The sentence also includes several cases of drunk driving, severe unlawful driving, and drug offenses. Aziz Yayan had previously been conditionally released – just over a month before the assaults took place – from an earlier prison sentence for gross violation of integrity. This time, too, Aziz Yayan will not be deported.
